Research Methods practice for A level Psychology - The Telepathy Experiment

The Telepathy Experiment allows A Level psychology students to learn and practice research methods. It is aimed more at Year 2 of A Level.

The video is a ficticious story about a telepathy experiment that did not go according to plan. It covers:

Independent and Dependent Variables
Hypotheses - Null, Directional and Non-Directional
Sampling - Volunteer, Opportunity, Stratified, Snowball, Systematic and Random
Experimental Design - Repeated Measures, Independent Groups, Matched Pairs
External Validity - Ecological, Population, Temporal, Mundane Realism
Control Measures - Pilot Studies, Random Allocation, Counterbalancing, Standardised Instructions, Videoing
Ethics - the four ethical principles of Competence, Integrity, Confidentiality and Responsibility
Inferential stats - which one to choose
Levels of Measurement - Nominal, Ordinal, Interval, Ratio
