I am using these sheets to mark students’ practice speaking tasks or for students to peer assess speaking. Once you have modeled marking a few times, they get the hang of the symbols.
- 1 sheet for the role play tasks (Higher and Foundation).
- 1 sheet for (Higher and Foundation) the 4 compulsory questions.
- 2 sheets (Higher and Foundation) for the reading aloud task with details of major and minor errors.
- 2 sheets (Higher and Foundation) for the description of photos and unprepared conversation.
- 1 sheet compiling all 3 tasks for marking Foundation mock speakings.
- 1 sheet compiling all 3 tasks for marking Higher mock speakings.
Each sheet includes a feedback / reflection box referring to a personal learning checklist (knowledge and skills) also included.
They are based on the 2026 AQA mark scheme. Do get in touch if you think they should be modified, and I would be happy to do so and email an updated version to you.
