This resource provides analytical language to help students write high-quality A-Level Spanish essays on film and literature.
Instead of simply listing useful phrases, it is organised by key essay-writing functions, enabling students to:
- build sophisticated interpretations
- support ideas with precise evidence
- analyse techniques and their effects
- structure arguments clearly and coherently
The resource is divided into three core sections:
- Building ideas: introducing interpretations and developing arguments
- Supporting ideas with evidence: integrating examples and analysing techniques
- Structuring and connecting ideas: using connectors, introductions and analytical conclusions
Each section includes carefully selected sentence builders in both Spanish and English, allowing students to understand, adapt and apply high-level structures with confidence.
A free sample version of this resource is available here if you would like to preview the type of sentence builders included: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-12949696
This resource works particularly well alongside the A-Level Spanish Essay Writing – Practice Workbook, where students apply these structures in guided writing tasks. Find it here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-13367993
