Use this poster to gather the creative works, trails, sculptures and events that the children in your class have noticed or experienced in your community. Add photos, written labels or sticky notes describing where learners have seen creativity.

This poster accompanies the book ‘Where we live is creative’ by Emily Shore and illustrated by Marion Lindsay.

The book looks at many different ways that people are creative across the UK, whether large scale sculptures or community artwork. This links to the National Curriculum (England) for Art & Design which states that students should learn, ‘about the work of a range of artists, craft makers and designers, describing the
differences and similarities between different practices and disciplines, and making links to their own work’.
