A KS3 French Easter escape room where students explore a garden and solve a series of language and culture tasks to find the golden egg. As they move through the garden, they complete vocabulary, reading and grammar challenges leading up to the final discovery.

The activity is designed as a guided digital escape room that gradually builds key Easter vocabulary while keeping students engaged through riddles and hidden interactions.

What’s included

• A digital Easter escape room with 3 main tasks:
 ○ A vocabulary MCQ activity introducing key Easter and spring words
 ○ Two gap-fill texts with comprehension questions on French Easter traditions
 ○ An activity practising the present tense of regular -er verbs with multiple-choice and short written answer questions
Three in-game riddles leading students to discover the hidden golden egg
• A hangman extension revising Easter vocabulary for early finishers

Teacher access slides with QR code and link to the escape room (PDF and editable PPTX formats)
• A teacher guidance document explaining the structure and riddles (PDF colour)
• An optional vocabulary print-out (PDF colour and black-and-white versions) to support students who might need it

Designed for KS3 French (Years 7-9), this resource is great as a seasonal activity, end-of-term lesson, or cultural enrichment task. Most classes should complete the main escape room in around 30-45 minutes (depending on level), with the optional hangman extension providing additional vocabulary revision. No preparation is required, as the activity is built on Genially.

I hope you and your students enjoy it.
