Uncover and address some of the common misconceptions and misunderstandings that your new A-Level Physics students may have with this set of 12 diagnostic questions. Cross-referencing GCSE and A-Level mark schemes, these questions are designed to target and reveal specific misunderstandings that students have as they start they course, identifying these early in the course before they become a stumbling block later!

The questions take the form of two-tier multiple choice answers (where students choose an answer and a reason), confidence grids and standard multiple choice questions. This focuses students on the depth of their understanding. Full solutions and explanations will begin to address these, explaining the correct answer and identifying the common mistake.

Built for independent study, this focuses on content and concepts taught in GCSE, with a view to be used over summer as transition work to strengthen students understanding before September.
