achieve by the end of Key Stage 2
.
As question types become familiar, children practise
recalling what they have learned.
Retrieval practice is the act of recalling information
without having anything to prompt you. The Daily Dozen
is a way to allow pupils to perform this retrieval some
days, weeks, months and even years after the learning
has taken place and is a heavily researched and proven
way to help strengthen learners’ memories.
