This resource is in response to the Advanced Information for the A2 Media examination in 2022 that was released on 7th March 2022. It was created for a revision session on the 10th February that I had to alter based on texts being dropped. I took this as an opportunity to overhaul the whole session and instead and focused 100% on the texts, likely questions and content students will need for both their A2 COMP 1 and 2 exam. The session was designed to run for 5 hours but their is additional content in her to provide planning for 2 weeks. The resource contains a plethroa of tasks, adapted questions for the 2022 mock, a whole exemplar 2020 paper written by me and much, much more.

Each task is linked to a section of the exam and is based on the text that will come up on the day. There are a plethora of tasks such as carousel tasks, structure tasks, theory application and loads more.

My students were grinning from ear-to-ear when they left the session, feeling like they could now confidently take on the exam. They were engaged, commented on the clear layout of the session and that it identified all of their weaknesses and concerns.

The Component 2 texts I am studying are:

SECTION A- LIFE ON MARS AND THE BRIDGE

SECTION B- VOGUE AND THE BIG ISSUE

SECTION C- ZOELLA AND ATTITUDE

That said, the resource is easily adaptable for any of the other Component 2 texts e.g. Humans/ The Returned etc.

NOTE: I am following EDUQAS Teaching Model 1 in my teaching/ SOW and my school is providing Media Studies as an AS/A2 . Moreover, each lesson has a task whereby students RAG (Red, Amber, Green) what they have learnt in the lesson against an Examiner checklist (Differentiation, peer assessment).

If you liked this resource and found it useful, it would be greatly appreciated if you could feedback or rate my resource as I am constantly trying to adapt and refine my resources to improve the learning of my students. Many thanks.
