This powerpoint contains examples of how to work out reverse percentage calculations using multipliers. The questions are mixed so that students have to identify which type of calculation is required. There is a good mix of realistic situations and vocabulary used in the word problems. Useful for revision too.

This collection contains a wide range of worksheets about percentages aimed at levels 5 - 8 of the new GCSE 9-1 curriculum. Use multipliers to calculate percentages, increase or decrease amounts and see how to use multipliers in repeated change questions ( especially simple and compound interest problems ). The sheets explain the methods used and check understanding as students work through them. Answers are provided. There is also a powerpoint about reverse percentage calculations as it is a topic that students often find particularly difficult to grasp.
