
How did the Roaring Twenties shape American life during a time of major change? In this spotlight activity, students will explore the major social, cultural, and economic changes of the 1920s. Using a student-friendly one-page, they will learn about the rise of jazz music, the role of flappers, the Harlem Renaissance, new inventions like the automobile and radio, and key events such as the passage of the 19th Amendment and the 1929 stock market crash. Students will answer short-answer questions based on the spotlight content and analyze how these changes impacted American life.
