Easter Egg Hunt: Rounding to the Nearest Whole Number
Students receive half an egg showing a decimal number. Their job is to hunt for the matching half that shows the rounded whole number.
How it works

• You prepare paper eggs, each cut cleanly in half.
• One half shows a decimal (e.g., 4.27).
• The other half shows the rounded whole number (e.g., 4).
• Hide the whole‑number halves around the classroom or outdoors.
• Give each pupil (or pair) a decimal half.
• They must round their number correctly, then find the matching half
