A complete, original teaching unit for Unit 5 of the Pearson Edexcel International A Level Statistics 1 (WST01) specification. Two lessons cover the normal distribution, standardising and probabilities from tables; and the inverse normal, including finding an unknown mean, standard deviation, or both. Each lesson opens with a starter, then has an editable PowerPoint with worked examples, shaded normal curves, practice with answer slides, exam technique, speaker notes and an exit ticket, plus a worksheet with full answers. Also includes a 40-mark unit assessment with a detailed mark scheme and a teacher guide that maps every lesson to real WST01 past-paper questions (referenced, not reproduced). All PDFs in A4.

Who it’s for: teachers and tutors of students taking Statistics 1 (WST01) for the Pearson Edexcel International A Level. Answers use table values (z to 2 d.p., percentage points to 4 d.p.), as in the exam. Mathematical expressions on the slides are typeset images (LaTeX source in the alt text); all other text is editable. Every printable comes in A4. All content is original; Pearson and Edexcel are trademarks of Pearson Education, which has not endorsed this resource.
