Pupils can explore how the design of a mosque supports Muslim worship, from facing the qibla during salah and the use of the mihrab and minbar, to preparation for prayer through wudu. The cards acknowledge that mosques around the world vary in their architecture and design, helping pupils understand that features such as domes, minarets and dedicated wudu facilities may be found in many mosques but are not universal.
