SATs Results Analysis Spreadsheet Description

This spreadsheet is designed to automatically count, analyse, and summarise individual SATs grades for pupils, providing both grade totals and percentages. It also calculates combined grades and corresponding combined percentages, offering a comprehensive overview of performance across core subjects.

Key Features:

1. Grade Count Per Subject:

Automatically tallies the number of pupils achieving each SATs grade (e.g. GDS, EXS, WTS) in Reading, Maths, and GPS (Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling).

Separate sheets for each subject and grade category.

1. Percentage Calculation:

Calculates the percentage of pupils achieving each grade per subject.

Based on total number of pupils entered.

1. Combined Grade Calculation:

Automatically determines combined outcomes (Reading + Writing + Maths).

Produces a combined grade for each pupil based on preset rules (e.g. combined EXS if pupil achieves EXS in all three).

1. Combined Percentages:

Tallies and calculates percentages for combined GDS, EXS, etc.

Useful for whole-cohort performance metrics and school-wide reporting.
