This is a Scottish National 4/5 History lesson on rationing and food shortages in Scotland during WWI. While the content is appropriate for experiences of soldiers from across Britain, some activities are tailored towards the Scottish examination system. As I operate a mixed class, there are activities designed for both National 4 and National 5 included within the lesson.

Students will take notes on reasons for food shortages and why rationing was introduced - along with other methods used to address the shortages and a timeline of these changes. Activities include examining impacts on local area - change area name to suit! Following this, students have practice exam source questions and a knowledge revision quiz
