This is a Scottish National 4/5 History lesson on political change in Scotland during WWI. While some of the content is appropriate for experiences of civilians from across Britain, some content and activities are tailored towards the Scottish examination system and experience. As I operate a mixed class, there are activities designed for both National 4 and National 5 included within the lesson.

Students are to work in groups to complete a poster examining political change in Scotland focusing on Red Clydeside (Rent Strikes/40 Hours Strike), a growing political awareness in working class, and the changes to the political parties and their popularity at the time. National 4 students then have empathy tasks to complete while National 5 students have practice exam style questions.
