Shiloh is a heart felt novel about an eleven year old boy named Marty and a young beagle who follows him home. Based on the way the dog walks with its tail between his legs and how he cringes when Marty tries to pet him, Marty suspects that the beagle is being abused. Marty quickly becomes protective over this dog and decides he will do whatever is necessary to protect him.
