A £2 assembly ideal for giving some key messages to large groups in a short space of time.

This is an 6 slide presentation with a two page Word document of key notes. The 6 slides create a visual focus but it is the key notes that provide some real content. This assembly would ideally suit a public speaker that has the time to read the key notes beforehand and ad-lib where needed. The presentation with key notes should last around 10 minutes so can be done as a short assembly or be filled out with relevant school notices or further discussion. There includes some suggestions for asking pupils in the audience to volunteer answers, which will help increase levels of engagement.

The assembly looks at the classic moral dilemma of people being stuck in a boat while the boat is sinking. It then moves on to use real world examples of moral dilemmas. The assembly is concluded by highlighting the importance of the views of the pupils, encouraging them to form their own views and opinions.

Key notes support the guidance provided by OFSTED for the SMSC agenda.
