A Spanish near future tense worksheet suitable for a range of year groups. This resource gives students extended practice using the structure ir + a + infinitive to say what someone is going to do.
The worksheet begins with a clear structure table for the near future tense, followed by a short gap-fill explanation of how the tense is formed. Students then complete 25 translation-style questions, practising useful verbs such as jugar, bailar, ser, ver, ir, comer, vivir and common phrases including going to the beach, watching TV, surfing the net and going to the park.
This could be used as:
- extended grammar practice
- a revision worksheet
- cover work
- a homework task
- a starter or recap activity
- independent practice after teaching the near future tense
Students can complete the worksheet independently and then self-assess or correct in green pen. It is useful for reinforcing the formation of the near future tense and building confidence with future-time phrases in Spanish.
