A Spanish reading about Pedro’s family last summer vacation. It is a text that contains many verbs (8 in total) in the simple past tense and it clearly shows why we use it.

• Students should first answer some comprehension questions about the text

• then they have to write down what Pedro did (they have to conjugate the verbs and the pronouns)

• then they have to find in the text the 8 verbs that are written in the simple past tense and then write them in the present tense

• and finally they have to write a text (using the simple past tense) about how was their last holiday
