Spin a spelling Connect 4
Two player game
The adult writes a selection of focus words on the wheel (e.g. common exception words or a particular phoneme).
Each player has a different coloured whiteboard pen.
Using a pencil and paper clip, Player A spins to select a spelling. Using their coloured pen, they write their spelling in the grid.
Player B has there turn, spinning a new spelling.
Repeat, until one player manages to connect 4 spellings in their colour. They are the winner!
This can be printed onto card or laminated for use with coloured whiteboard pens.
