Spooky Spanish: Interactive House & Prepositions Goblin Task

Spooky Spanish: Interactive House & Prepositions Goblin Task

An interactive KS3 Spanish homework on rooms and prepositions: find El Pombero, Paraguay’s mischievous night goblin!

Who hid my shoes?! In Paraguay, legend says El Pombero, a small, hairy goblin with his feet on backwards, sneaks around at night making strange noises and hiding things. Leave him some honey and he’ll leave you alone!

Three short, self-checking tasks:
• Lee y descubre: two short texts with tap-to-translate words and audio, a keyword match and true/false.
• Una noche en la casa: read the clues and follow the Pombero room by room through the night (rooms + times).
• ¿Dónde está?: a hide-and-seek bedroom scene. Choose the right prepositions (encima de, debajo de, al lado de, detrás de, entre) and find where the Pombero is hiding!

What’s included
• Interactive HTML page: works offline in any browser, on computers, tablets and phones
• 1-page worksheet that matches the web page, with a “my bedroom” challenge
• Teacher page with answers, a cultural note, and the texts with translations
• Optional student vocab list (2 per page, to print and cut)

Perfect for homework: each task unlocks letters of a secret code word. Students write it on the worksheet, so you can see at a glance who finished.

Language covered: rooms of the house; estar en; telling the time; prepositions of place; de + el = del.

Flexible use: homework, a starter or plenary, cover lessons, or a Halloween lesson (15–20 minutes). It also fits neatly into a house and home unit.
