If you’re after a fun and engaging maths activity this St. Patrick’s Day which will get your students practising measuring angles and look great up on your wall, then you’ll love this project which combines art and math!
Students find and measure 15 angles in the word lucky, then colour and cut out the word to make a class display.
There are three size options to choose from depending on your printing options and skill of your students:
- letter size/A4 (the smallest size and requires more skill measuring angles, such as rotating the protractor in different ways)
- a larger size (on letter/A4) which needs the word to be joined first before measuring angles
- A3 size (the easiest option to work with)
Plus, there are letters and shamrocks to add to your display.
I hope your students have fun using their maths and art skills with this project!
U.S. and U.K. versions included.
