This lesson equips students taking the AQA AS qualification in sociology. It could be easily adapted for a revision task for year 13 students doing the full a-level qualification also.
The lesson focuses on having different ‘stations’ around the room. At each station they are required to complete a different task using each of the assessment objectives.
The lesson ends on a reflection of the task enabling students to recognise the skill they most need to work on.
I found this really useful for AS revision as it moves away from the standard essay writing or textbook reading revision. I also just changed up the assessment objective weighting (available on the AQA website) and used the same activity for my year 13 students.
