These resources are two of a series of structured booklets that have been written to follow the specification for the AQA GCSE Chemistry and Combined Science exams on this topic.

There are separate booklets for the AQA GCSE Chemistry and AQA Combined Science (Trilogy) specifications and all material that is Higher Tier is labelled clearly as such.

I have used these booklets really successfully with pupils in many different ways. They can be used as a way to structure notes during the teaching of the topic, as knowledge organisers for students after the teaching of a unit and as way of ‘spaced learning’ weeks or months after the initial teaching of a unit.

Students can fill them in from memory for good ‘retrieval practice’ and then use other revision resources to complete any areas where they are less confident. My pupils and colleagues really like them because they have been designed to print out onto A4 paper and then print out very nicely as an A5 booklet that can be kept as a concise set of revision notes for their final exams in Year 11.
