This lesson covers:
•Content covered to introduce substitution reactions and its limitations
•Student complete a summary table covering all reactions except the different types of addition as students will have an addition reaction table from the previous lesson in this series. Students complete the table as the starter based on the previous lesson and using information cards
•Students have a summary flow chart to complete to link all the reactions, their reagents, products and conditions in the AAQ applied science specification
•Students then have lots of practice to draw and name products from reactants with hints about what type of organic compound the product is and reaction conditions
•Students then can practice linking reactions together in an organic synthesis pathway without support like the previous lesson. An example is provided to demonstrate how to lay out answers and how to find the answer

PRINTING REQUIREMENTS:
1 x summary flow chart each for each student (possibly can be printed 2 per page)
1x table for each student (4 on a page)
3x Information cards that can be reused
