Sunni Islam and the Four Caliphs

For the unit on Traditions of Islam, this presentation covers an introduction to Sunni Islam and the history of the’Four Caliphs’. These lessons (about 2-3) provide a good background for my students before I teach the key differences between Sunni and Shi’a Muslims. You will need Robert Frager’s book and if you hover over the blue box on slide 14, it will take you to a 20 minute documentary by Al Jazeera about the four caliphs.
