A practical, 2-hour CPD course for the everyday reality of mixed-needs teaching: one class, one teacher, and several different needs at once. Grounded in Universal Design for Learning and the EEF’s five evidence-based adaptive teaching principles, this course focuses on sustainable, whole-class systems rather than unsustainable individual differentiation for every pupil separately.
The course covers prioritising sensibly when different pupils’ needs conflict, whole-class routines that support many needs simultaneously, effective TA deployment, and keeping records sustainable across a whole class. This is the foundation course for our full SEND CPD series. A full reflection worksheet is included.
Written by a qualified teacher (Cert Ed) with over 10 years’ experience across further education, SEND provision and pastoral care.
Ideal for: class teachers, SENCOs, teaching assistants, or whole-staff INSET training.
