Bring maths to life with this engaging Sweet Shop Challenge! This resource includes two differentiated challenge cards designed to develop pupils’ understanding of money through real-life problem solving.

Pupils are given a budget and given the opportunity to buy items from a class shop, before completing a range of tasks involving addition, subtraction, reasoning and problem solving. The questions encourage children to apply their maths skills in context, including calculating totals, finding differences, working out change and exploring concepts such as rounding and percentages.

The second challenge card provides a more advanced level of difficulty, making this resource ideal for differentiation within KS2 classrooms.

Perfect for maths lessons, group work, or practical, hands-on activities, this challenge pairs brilliantly with a classroom "sweet shop” setup to fully immerse pupils in the experience.
