Target Games PE Bundle - Tag and Call and Respond Games included

Hi there from the PE Project! This Bundle provides a range of teaching ideas and lessons for Lower Elementary School, designed to introduce students to a variety of Target Games. The activities in this bundle are best used alongside each other Call and Respond and Tag Games packs to ensure high activity levels.

We’ve included a suggested sequence of Lesson Plans which combine activities from all 3 packs.

Target games are a fantastic way to develop manipulative skills, coordination, and accuracy through movements such as throwing, tossing, sliding, kicking, and striking. They are also a great addition to any lower-elementary PE curriculum, helping students learn important social skills such as cooperation, taking turns, playing fair, and winning and losing graciously.

Call and Respond Games develop vital listening and following instructions skills, this is a great way to set the tone for the beginning of your Lower Elementary PE lessons!

While Tag Games foster the development of various essential skills, including:

• Spatial awareness: Players enhance their understanding of their surroundings and the position of others in the game, which is crucial for strategic decision-making.

• Teamwork and cooperation:
Participants learn to collaborate with others, promoting a sense of unity and shared goals.
