This is one of a series of 3 illustrated handbooks which provide teachers with a wealth of enjoyable, engaging, and innovative activities for use when teaching outside the classroom.
The books show how teaching outside the classroom can help to engage and motivate students, improve academic attainment, enhance physical and mental wellbeing, and enrich all aspects of the curriculum. Each book focuses specifically on different curriculum subjects, although there are many cross-curricular links:
• Book 1 includes an Introduction to Outdoor Learning, together with a chapter on Teambuilding and Problem Solving activities, and a further chapter on Mathematics.
• Book 2 covers activities linked to History, Geography, and Literacy.
• Book 3 focuses on activities related to Science, together with Design and Technology.
