Four lessons that cover:

  1. What is musical theater?
  2. Staging
  3. Lighting
  4. Costumes

Designed to do in a traditional classroom setting (i.e. no groupwork, no practical work) because of covid-19 social distancing rules.

Each lesson, students learn about a new technical theater skill by watching a scene from a different musical (full list of links included in the package) and analyzing one element of it. There are also supporting tasks, prompts for class discussions/mindmaps, and 2 home learning tasks.

This would also be useful for when we get kicked out of the drama studio for various reasons, or could be easily adapted for cover work!
