This resource contains 2 powerpoints.

The first resource is an introduction to the behaviourist approach, which includes information about social learning theory, classical and operant conditioning, followed by an activitiy.

The second powerpoint will provide learners with an overview of the different methods used within the behaviourist approach to treat mental health, the primary focus being phobias.

Academic research is also included throughout the evaluation, alongside a large activity which implements systematic desensitisation and ethical issues.

This powerpoint is appropriate for AS/A level students, but has been designed mainly for access to higher education students. This is why there will be academic links to recent research, however you can use these slides as a way to stretch and challenge your learners.
