It clearly explains what the ellipsis is, its functions in writing and how to use ellipses correctly in writing. Many examples are provided. Opportunities are also provided for pupils to explain why the ellipsis has been used. Students are also asked to shorten quotations and compose their own sentences containing ellipses about several striking images.
