Pupils will practise using the following co-ordinating and subordinating conjunctions while revising the events of the story:

Pupils will learn to identify a range of conjunctions and use them in compound and complex sentences.

This resource supports the teaching of the year 2 national curriculum objective for writing:
Pupils should be taught to learn how to use subordination (using when, if, that, or because) and co-ordination (using or, and, or but).
