Example diary texts based on the picture book The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch by Ronda and David Armitage, with feature find and planning sheets.

The two diary entries are written from the point of view of Mr and Mrs Grinling.

The exemplar texts can be used as WAGOLLs before pupils examine them using the feature find sheet, and then plan and write their own diary entry based on the book.
