Objectives for first lesson on cell mediated response:

• List the cells involved in the specific immune response.
• Describe the roles of B and T lymphocytes.
• Explain the main stages of the specific immune response.

Objectives for second lesson on humoral response:

• Recall the role of antibodies.
• Outline the action of opsonins, agglutinins and anti-toxins.
• Explain the structure and function of antibodies.
