An interactive lesson where children go to https://app.electricitymaps.com/ to compare countries electricity production and assess the carbon production of each.

Countries on the sheet for them to investigate: UK, Iceland, Botswana, Finland & China - these five give a good variety of energy sources that can prompt further lessons if needed.

Fits well into a series of work on climate change or electricity production.

Once children complete the sheet they can go on to explore the website in full, looking at the trade of electricity and how production changes dependent on weather.

Suitable for late KS2 or KS3.
