Theme Park Project- Adding and subtracting using money and finding area and perimeter

The two lesson project contains two different tasks while working with the same theme.
The first task involves choosing what each student will have in their theme park. They have a budget to use and price lists for different lands, rides, food and other facilities. A table is provided inside the booklet to keep a record of this. This typically lasts a fifty minute lesson.
The second task requires the students to draw a map of there theme park. They will use colour coded shapes to represent each of there rides or food stalls. They will then work out the perimeter and area for each of there shapes to scale.
This is great for basic skills practice in numeracy lessons.
