Build a distinction between when something happens and how long it takes. Six progressive sessions move from time units and the 24-hour clock to elapsed time, backwards planning, fictional timetables, connections and plans with several conditions.

Pupils show calculations, check plans and explain why a journey works. The pack includes teacher guidance, worked pupil models, an independent check and reasoned answers.

Includes a 23-page A4 teacher-and-pupil PDF and a separate 15-page pupil extract. British English. The extract repeats the pupil activities from the full pack for easier printing.

Suggested ages 9–12, depending on prior knowledge. Choose according to pupils’ number skills and experience of reading clock times. All journey information needed for the activities is supplied; the timetables are fictional teaching examples.

The genuine preview shows the pupil models, task instructions and response space.
