This practical maths resource provides simple number grids designed to support number recognition, counting, and early calculation skills in KS1 classrooms.
Each page contains four number grids, giving teachers quick and flexible tools for daily maths lessons and activities.
The resource includes grids covering 1–6, 1–10, 1–15, 1–20, 1–30, 1–60 and 1–100, allowing children to work with numbers at different levels as their confidence grows.
The grids can be used in many engaging ways during maths lessons.
Teachers can use them for counting practice, asking children to point to or circle numbers as they count forwards or backwards. They are also useful for number hunts, where children find given numbers or patterns.
Children can identify even and odd numbers, highlight numbers that add up to a target number, or cover numbers with counters while classmates guess which ones are missing.
The grids can also support counting on and back, simple addition and subtraction, and number sequencing games.
When laminated, the grids become reusable tools for maths lessons, group work, partner games, and quick warm-up activities, helping teachers save time while making maths lessons interactive and fun.
