We love using games in the classroom to help teach times tables and hopefully your students will enjoy this too.

This game is really easy to make-up and play. Students just need a counter for each player and a paper clip for the spinner board. Each player begins at the start point on the game board and spins a times table sum on the spinner board. They need to find the answer to the sum they have spun and move to the next place on the game board that shows the answer to their sum. The winner is the first student to reach the finish line.

This is quite a fast paced game to play, as it doesn't take many spins to work through the game board. Therefore, we have students play the game an odd number of times and the student that wins the most games is the overall winner. This also allows for a mini-lesson on odd and even numbers.
