TME Advanced PE Curriculum – Years 7–9

Transform Key Stage 3 PE with a progressive curriculum for pupils aged 11–14. The TME Advanced PE Curriculum provides structured Schemes of Learning across 20 activity areas, reducing planning workload while supporting purposeful, inclusive and challenging teaching.

The collection includes American Football, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Dance, Dodgeball, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Netball, Orienteering, Rounders, Rugby, Softball, Table Tennis, Tennis, Trampolining and Volleyball.

Learning progresses across Years 7–9. Year 7 establishes techniques, rules, safety and teamwork. Year 8 develops consistency, tactical awareness and performance under pressure. Year 9 challenges pupils to refine skills, justify decisions, analyse performance and demonstrate leadership.

Every scheme begins with two curriculum overview pages covering learning context, vocabulary, Know and Show outcomes, Head, Heart and Hands assessment, Assessment for Learning, inclusive delivery, SEND and EAL support, metacognition and oracy.

One-page lesson plans follow the Explore, Develop and Apply structure. Teachers receive timings, activity measurements, equipment lists, grouping guidance, technical cues, teaching points, differentiation, safety information and meaningful roles for non-active pupils.

Each written lesson is supported by a professionally designed infographic that communicates outcomes, activities, assessment, STEP differentiation and reflection prompts.

Plan–Monitor–Reflect questions develop independent learners, while oracy prompts encourage pupils to explain tactics, justify choices and provide evidence-based feedback.

Ideal for PE departments, subject leaders, experienced teachers, early career teachers, trainee PE teachers and non-specialists, this complete curriculum combines detailed guidance, inclusive practice, meaningful assessment and engaging visual resources—saving time while supporting consistently high-quality Key Stage 3 PE.
