TOK: The Arts and Knowledge (3 Lessons)

This PPT provides a series of 3 lessons for covering ‘The Arts and Knowledge’.

The PPT is clearly split into 3 sections, exploring these 3 questions:

1] What kinds of knowledge are generated through art.
2] What is the value of knowledge produced through the arts.
3] Should artists be ethically responsible for the knowledge of the world that they produce and how they produce it.

In terms of the TOK Framework:
Part 1, therefore, relates mainly to scope.
Part 2, therefore, relates mainly to perspective.
Part 3, therefore, relates mainly to methods and tools & ethics.

I would expect that each of the 3 lessons would take 45-60 minutes of lesson time. Each lesson ends with a plenary slide.
