Topics@Psychology#4: A Problem with the Concept of Freewill (all exam boards)
An Introduction to a Freewill vs Determinism Debate
Ideal to show as an extension to studying issues and debates.
The PPT slides progressively cover the Libet argument and build up to suggesting that we do not have any freewill, whatsoever!
Libet’s empirical argument is seductively simple, and should cause the student to question everything they believed about our freedom to choose.
Consists of a PPT display (22 slides) with under slide comments linking to online videos; to supplement understanding. Within the slides are activities and things to think about.

Suitable for ALL examination boards.

Ideal potential use: Year Twelve Psychology students near end of their first year

You are welcome to amend, expand or reduce the display to suit your needs.

The author, Andy McCarthy (amac education: Psychology) is a Chartered Psychologist, experienced teacher, lecturer and publisher.
