This topic test focuses on Unit 1 L01 and Unit 1 L02 - there are lots of conversion questions. I used this test after covering the first two LOs. The test is one hour. I made students show working so that I can check their techniques even though the exam questions may not ask for workings. During learning stage, it will be useful. Sample solution is provided. Marks allocation are also included on the test paper but may not included on the space provided on the picture.
The binary conversion approach may look long-winded but that was the approach shown on the text book and I decided to use the same conversion approach to help students remember. For multiple choice, it doesn't matter which approach they use.
