This is our Year 7 Travel Game Maze Project. We use a CNC Router to route out the maze channels and use a 4mm ball bearing. We use clear acrylic to cover the maze and prevent the ball bearings from falling out and then we use Pine to wrap around the sides to make this look more professional.

If you don’t have access to a CNC router then you could use a laser cutter and add the channels for the maze that way. I would use 3mm acrylic and then instead of attaching the acrylic sheet to the top of the MDF maze, I would attach the clear acrylic to the top of the pine frame.

Any questions please ask. This project is still a work in progress and you can do so much more but for a year 7 project its a great introductions to CAD, manufacturing, hand skills and materials.
