Five PE lessons for KS2 students, using the theme of Tribal War Dance and the Haka.
The lessons come in a clear format with aims and success critieria for each lesson.
Each lesson also includes key learning abilities/cross curricular skills, that children should develop.
The unit explores different dance techniques, such as dynamics, formations, unison and canon movements.
All the lessons come with a suggested music and YouTube links with videos demonstrations.
There are also example Haka movements and Moari language to include in the dance. These could be printed off to provide support for children’s dances.
By the end of the 5 lessons, children should be able to perform their very own Haka dance in a group, just like the New Zealand Rugby team!
