
This is a fun decision making lesson based on Typhoon Haiyan - it would be suitable for KS3 or GCSE groups.
Conext: Students had already learnt about the Tropical storms, so this was an interesting way of introducing the case study. Equally it could be a useful tool for consolidating case study knowledge and revision for Year 11 geographer - as being something a bit different and imaginative!
Students work in pairs - they are a distaster management team.
Ten events happen before during and after the storm. Students have options to pick from . Afterwards, their responses are graded.
