Tropical storms; their nature and causes

This is an A-level lesson on tropical storms focusing on their characteristics and causes of their formation. It is suitable for all specification but was prepared with the AQA A-level specs specifically. Key facts about the lesson are:

  1. The content covered by the lesson are; Characteristics of a tropical storm, anatomy of a tropical storm, location and distribution of tropical storms, analysis of the location of tropical storms, causes of tropical storm formation.

  2. Learning resources used in the lesson are; Quiz, images, video clips, map task, diagram task, written task, analysis tasks, and an exam focus question. Answers are included for most of the tasks for self assessment.

  3. What do you get in the package: The lesson is planned in detail and all of the resources for teaching the lesson are included in the ppt; starter, learning activities with resources, clear outline of learning tasks and a plenary.
